Prairie Pals
Dogs have the ability to know that children mean them no harm. This was so obvious when our granddaughter carried "Charlie" like a wet rag all over the back yard with no ultimate destination or reason other than just to hold the patient little dog.

Sunday Morning
Always a good combination "Herbie" and Janessa. I always enjoyed the way she wore that old floppy hat and the patience she showed when I sketched or photographed her and her dog. I have portrayed this friendly duo sitting on a bench outside an old church.

My Turn

Nautical Nap ●Old Sailor
During a trip to Scotland in 1978 I decided to visit the recently renovated Duart Castle located on an island just a short sail off the west coast from the town of Oban. The fare for the sail was collected by the colourful character in the painting. He entertained the passengers, especially the children, with his prize personality. He took a short nap just before we docked and then awoke to wish us all an enjoyable visit - little did he know he had already accomplished his wish.
