Although bobcats range throughout the forests, mountains
and deserts of North America they are rarely seen in the wild. They are well
equipped hunters having excellent eyesight, hearing and agility enabling them
to stalk or ambush their prey. This wildcat hunts rabbits, hares, mice and squirrels
mainly at night and relaxes in caves or between fallen trees during the daylight
hours.
